Community Connectors
Personalized One-on-One Support for Children, Youth, and Adults
Community Connectors is a highly individualized program designed to empower children, youth, and adults through meaningful, one-on-one support. By pairing participants with dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), we help build essential life skills, increase independence, and create stronger connections both at home and in the community.
At The Arc of Lane County, we take the stress out of finding the right support. Our team carefully recruits, screens, and hires skilled Direct Support Professionals—including Spanish-speaking staff—to ensure families have access to inclusive, high-quality care. We work closely with each family to understand their goals, values, and unique needs, then thoughtfully match them with professionals who are not only qualified, but a great personal fit. Families are empowered to interview and select the individual who feels right for them.
Already have someone in mind? We’re happy to support that connection. In many cases, The Arc can hire a family-identified person into the program, as long as they meet ALL required training, safety, and screening standards.
With potential funding available through Lane County Developmental Disabilities, Community Connectors makes personalized support more accessible—so individuals can focus on what matters most: building confidence, developing skills, and living a more connected, independent life.
