Community Inclusion Services

The Arc believes all individuals, regardless of disability, have the right to be a part of their community. Community Inclusion services focuses on creating a quality of life that enhances the personal goals of all participants. This program provides social and leisure opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Examples of activities include:

  • Horseback riding
  • Swimming
  • Eating out at local restaurants
  • Engaging crafts, dance and more!

Community Inclusion services offer community based recreational opportunities for adults with I/DD. All program activities are tailored to meet individual and unique needs and desires of each program participant. Typical operating hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Staff members provide opportunities for participants to access their community in a meaningful way, assisting in the development of relationships in the community as well as encouraging and facilitating the development and growth of personal skills.

Participants in the program are encouraged to be as independent as possible with the level of support needed from their staff members.
