The Arc relies on volunteers throughout the community to help in its mission of expanding opportunities for people with disabilities. From community service projects, fundraising events, and holiday celebrations, we always need and welcome additional helping hands.
We need volunteers throughout the year for various events and activities. Student volunteers are welcome. Upcoming volunteer opportunities include:
- CARES Food Pantry: The CARES food pantry provides food, toiletries, home goods, and wraparound supports to people who experience a disability, families who have a child with a disability, and other people in need within the greater community. The CARES Center also provides wraparound services to people affected by COVID. Volunteers who speak both English and Spanish are needed. Visit Give Time to sign up for a volunteer shift at the CARES Food Pantry.
- The Arc Carnival: The Arc Lane County hosts a community carnival during the summer of even numbered years. This year, The Arc Carnival will be held on July 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help with event set up, running the carnival games and booths, and event tear down. We also need entertainers (jugglers, balloon artists, face painters) to help at this amazing event. Contact Sarah if you can volunteer at this fun, family-friendly event.
- Families Connected and Familias en Conexión: Our parent and family support programs need volunteers to help with childcare, activities inside the Arc Park this summer, and to help staff our Sensory Zone that travels to community events and festivals. English and Spanish-speaking volunteers are needed. Reach out to Julissa to learn about future events and opportunities to volunteer.
When you volunteer at The Arc Lane County, you will walk away feeling rewarded at having made a valuable difference!
