The CARES Center will provide food, toiletries and home goods, such as sheets and pots and pans, to people who experience a disability, families who have a child with a disability, as well as other people in need, depending on resource availability.
Hours of Operation
The CARES Center will be open the following days:
- Tuesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
To Request Help
To request food or other resources, community members may download WhatsApp, a free international texting app, and then text “RECEIVE INFO” to 541-285-1888. Alternatively, people may visit the CARES Center during the hours of operation at 4181 E Street in Springfield.

Resource Specialists
Families will also have access to resource specialists who can help connect families with other resources.
To learn about other resources related to employment, housing, utility bills, schools or mental health, schedule an appointment with a resource specialist by calling 541-343-5256.
Donations
The Arc will accept new or gently used clothes, shoes, and blankets. Call 458-215-4272 or send an email to Russ to schedule an appointment. At the moment we do not accept any furniture and cannot pick up any donations. Please do not drop off donations without first scheduling an appointment.
